Nigel Lowther is an award-winning communications expert. He is a journalist with more than 22 years experience who, for the past two-and-a-half years, has edited and part-owned the weekly Cleethorpes Chronicle.
He also runs this successful public relations business, built by working with the private, public and third sectors.
Nigel began his career as a news reporter before working on sports and then returning to move up the editorial ladder.
He managed 12 reporters on a busy, newsdesk for a daily newspaper and also built considerable e-media experience, launching several newspaper websites. Nigel became deputy editor on a regional daily newspaper, a post he held for four years.
He won several national awards, most notably for spearheading community campaigns and his investigative work into Soham murderer Ian Huntley. His experience since establishing his media business includes six months as interim head of a busy local authority public relations team.
Therefore, he offers an insight into both sides of the communications fence: he knows what a journalist is looking for and how to protect and enhance reputation.
